Phoenix Hobie Fleet 66
Phoenix Hobie Fleet 66 is a group of catamaran sailors who participate in or sponsor events locally (Lake Pleasant and Lake Roosevelt) and nationally (Mexico, California, Nevada). These events are focused around the regatta (or race). Other events include family fun sail weekends with other catamaran sailors. Hobie Fleet 66 also contributes to the community and has adopted a section of road for cleanup annually on Lake Pleasant Highway.
One-design racing places a skipper and crew against other skippers and crews on the same make and length of boat. Hobie Fleet 66 has sailors from novice to expert. We participate in events designed to help new sailors expand their knowledge about their boat and hone their skills for sailing. Fleet 66 is a member of the North American Hobie Class Association
(NAHCA)
.
If you are looking for a boat or others to share the fun of sailing, Hobie Fleet 66 can help. If you're interested in learning how to sail a catamaran; interested in meeting other sailors; interested in learning how to tune your boat; or don't have a boat and want to crew on a catamaran; be sure to check out the schedule below for event dates.
